Swiss Contribution Main Page
Switzerland supports Cyprus with a total amount of 5.988 million Swiss francs over five years (2008 – 2012). These funds are part of the Swiss contribution to the twelve states that joined the European Union since May 2004. The overall goal of the Swiss contribution is to reduce economic and social disparities within the enlarged European Union.

Thematic priorities
Switzerland’s cooperation with Cyprus aims at improving and promoting basic infrastructure & environment and human & social development.
Project selection and Contract awarding
Projects are selected by the National Coordination Unit NCU according to the thematic priorities and procedures outlined in the Swiss-Cypriot Framework Agreement. Project proposals have to be submitted to the NCU (which may also propose projects itself), which will then forward them to the competent Swiss authority for approval.
