Environment and infrastructure
Environment and infrastructure: Waste, waste-water management, reduction of pollutant emissions/greenhouse gases, and the increase of energy efficiency, as well as the modernization of public transport are all urgent concerns in the partner countries. The SDC and SECO will address these fields, emphasizing different aspects.

Rehabilitation and modernisation of basic infrastructure: to enhance public environmental monitoring capacities in order to reduce  environmental pollution, increase living standards and promote sustainable economic development.
Improvement of the environment: to reduce greenhouse gases and other emissions by increasing energy efficiency in public buildings and development of new building standards.
