| Swiss Contribution to Poland |
| Switzerland supports Poland with a total amount of 489 million Swiss francs between 2008 – 2012 as agreed in the Bilateral Framework Agreement. The focus will be on basic infrastructure and environment, health care, private sector promotion, research, twinnings and NGO activities in the environmental and social sector. |

Bilateral Framework Agreement between Switzerland and Poland
The Swiss-Polish Framework Agreement, signed on 20th December 2007, forms the basis for the implementation of the Swiss Polish Cooperation Programme. It sets the priorities and defines the relevant procedures. |

Geographic focus At least 40% of the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme shall be spent in the Lubelskie Region, the Podkarpackie Region, the Świętokrzyskie Region and the Małopolskie Region. |

Project selection and contract awarding The Intermediate Body on behalf of NCU (Ministry of Regional Development) receives and examines project proposals with respect to their suitability, their completeness, and their compliance with the criteria and the fields of activity. |

Contact The National Coordination Unit NCU (Ministry of Regional Development) is responsible for the overall Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme orientation and for the identification, selection, planning, implementation, financial management, controlling and evaluation of projects and programmes, as well as for the appropriate use of funds. The Swiss government, represented by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) in Bern, ensures adequate strategic and operational steering. | |
